I have lived here for over 13 years.. I am a 40ish woman plus have a teenage daughter.. Antalya is a safe destination. You can go most everywhere without concerns. Naturally young women attract popular escapes as you would turkey any other place. Just keep walking and don't fostering persisent university torkey conversation and that for do it. First of all university tourists come for Antalya and never have any problems but for those who do one must look at the reason why. Please when travelling toTurkey do be aware of your surroundings and most of all respectful turkish the country you are in. The one thing I hate the most is when I escapes going shopping at a mall or a local shopping district, and witness many tourists nationality withheld walking around in skimpy escapes shorts that barely cover the bottom parts and if that is not all bad these shorts or popular white pants are totally see-through with thongs hanging out. I personally do not wish to see this. When a tourist is in their own country does one walk around like this?? I don't think so.
I dress the same as I have in the past living in Canada. Have respect for those around you. This does not mean that you have to be totally covered.
